The release of the controversial film Innocence of Muslims, which claims to depict the life of Muhammad, caused and outrage in the Muslim world, where thousands of angry men and women demonstrated and attacked US embassies.

It is easy to point out the reasons why people leave: Political, social, or religious. Yet what is needed is to empower Palestinian Christians, especially the young generation, to overcome these obstacles, and to decide to stay despite the circumstance. Palestinian Christians must revive a sense of calling and purpose. They must want to stay.

The victim, a language teacher, had been residing in Jordan for the past 20 years and had lived in the cities of Amman, Ajloun and Irbid.

For more than a year, I have repeatedly visited the office of the Christian Affairs Department at the Israeli Ministry of Religious Affairs in Jerusalem to seek a clergy visa for Rev. Jeff Hoover. Jeff is a U.S. citizen from Raleigh, North Carolina. Our international congregation in East Jerusalem called Rev. Hoover to come to Jerusalem to serve as an assistant pastor, since I am approaching retirement.

Many pro-Israeli organizations and individuals connected between closing a Baptist church in Bethlehem and the Christ at the Checkpoint Conference, which just took place last week in Bethlehem.

There was only one problem with this. It was factually wrong. The church was never closed
